Printed Silk Fashion Editorial

Creating fashion editorials means being able to be creative and work with a team to test out new ideas, be inspired and learn by other creatives in the industry, research what’s currently trending for fashion and beauty, all the while creating beautiful images for the team and providing inspiration to others.

The reason I decided to pursue photography from my love of fashion editorials. For those not familiar, fashion editorials are the collection of images at the back of a magazine. The idea behind them is to showcase the latest designs of the current season in some type of a visual story.

The theme of this editorial is based after a unique wardrobe collection from Zara, “Printed Silk”. I felt inspired to create moody imagery to compliment the warm, jewel tones in the silk fabric. Because of the boldness of the prints, the makeup and hair is kept subtle to keep the focus on the wardrobe story.

These are a few images from the editorial that will not be published in the November 25th edition of Moevir Magazine. PLUS a behind the scenes video of the day by White Lotus Studios.

Thank you for reading. Please let me know what you think of this editorial, and pass along any questions about the process!

xx Nicole.
